Growing up with a carpenter for a Dad, houses were a constant in my childhood. At age 19, I was licensed as a realtor and began to work my way up from the bottom. I now have over 10 years of experience in the real estate industry. I absolutely love helping my clients reach their goals, and enjoy showing them a good time along the way. Hi! I’m Sheryl, agent for Finely Crafted Realty. I am a Louisville native and have been living in Oldham County since 1999. After being exposed to the construction industry through my husband’s business over the past 20 years and going through the process of building and selling our personal homes, I have developed such a passion for real estate…the tiny details, the personal communication, the logistics and the opportunity to help others. I’m Jordan, an agent for Finely Crafted Realty. I set out to become a licensed Realtor not long after graduating from the University of Kentucky. I saw real estate as a way to satisfy both my drive to be an entrepreneur as well as my interests in architecture, design, and historic preservation. My parents always taught me to look at older, perhaps quirky, homes and picture what they can be become with a little paint and the right improvements. It’s clear that their passion for taking on fixer upper’s rubbed off on me! That being said, helping others will always be the most compelling aspect. I get the most joy out of working hard to help my clients successfully navigate the process.
Interested to learn how we got started?
It was the Summer of 2007. I was 18 years old, and my friends were going off to college. I was so close to signing on the dotted line, taking out student loans, and heading off to college like the rest of them. Instead, I made a last minute decision not to go.
Something just didn’t click for me. I knew what I loved to do, but didn’t see a clear degree path in college that would get me there. I loved helping people and I loved design. I liked working with my hands on projects where I could see something evolve right in front of me.
Instead of going off to college, I got a job at a local lumber and hardware store making $10/hour. Growing up around construction, I knew more than your average 18 year old blonde chick. I figured this would be a job to hold me over until I figured out what I wanted to do.
All my friends thought I was crazy….
