About The Town
Buckner is the area located between LaGrange and Crestwood in Oldham County. A lot of the Buckner area has a LaGrange zip code, so it can be hard to identify online for out of towners.
Those who live in Buckner tend to love it for many reasons, including:
Close access to I-71, via exit 17 or 18
Lots of established & new construction neighborhoods
Home to the Oldham County school campus including Buckner Elementary, OC Middle and OC High
Just a quick drive from Eastern Jefferson County which is home to tons of shopping & dining including places like Target!

We love a good meal! You're a quick drive to TONS of options, but we wanted to highlight some of our favorite spots right here in Buckner.
Mi Tierra- our local mexican joint. They have a great outdoor patio to take advantage of when the weather is nice!
Delize Italian- a sit-down restaurant offering killer Italian dishes. They also serve breakfast!
Frascelli's NY Deli- is a great lunch or pizza spot.

Old LaGrange road is a local back road where lots of people bike! Fun fact, you can bike to Third Turn Brewery in Crestwood via this route

Oldham County Country Club has a golf course and pool, with memberships available. You can also opt to visit for a round of golf, or hit up their on site restaurant/bar.
The local YMCA is right here in Buckner, with tons of activities for kids, workout classes, and traditional gym equipment Oldham County Aquatics Center is a public pool, open during the Summer months.
Wendell Moore Park is a local playground
You could also catch a high school sports game, depending on the season! A lot of the Buckner neighborhoods can see the lights & hear the games on Friday nights from the football field.

A brand new Kroger is being built off 393, which will make grocery shopping extremely convenient for Buckner residents
Fuzzys Fruit & Vegetable stand. This is a tiny little fruit & veggie stand that operates in the Spring & Summer months on the honor system. Take what you need & leave your payment in the box.
